Political Bio/Statement:
I am running because the people of our district deserve to have someone honestly and properly represent us. Jim Jordan is not only a national embarrassment but grossly incompetent at the basic functions of his taxpayer-funded job. He fails to provide constituent services or work to improve the lives of the people of our district. Unlike Jordan, I am at my core a policy wonk. I love working with people to create legislation and crafting policies that help make people’s lives better. Having worked on Capitol Hill, I learned how important it is to work for the people of your district. Constituent Services, such as helping people navigate federal assistance programs and fighting for the needs of our district in federal decision making, will be the first function of my office. I will make sure that we have a robust outreach to our district. The reality of this fight is the deck is stacked against any Democrat with the formerly unconstitutional gerrymandering of the district and that Jordan as a massive cash advantage. He is also unethical and this fight requires someone willing to fight and fight hard against brutal attacks on them that will come. He and his supporters will use anyone around the candidate that can be used as collateral damage. I am up for the fight and I never back down regardless of how brutal it gets. Another area where I can fight him and force him to play defense is that since I have worked in the U.S. House, I know and can highlight how much and how many different ways Jordan fails us and fails to do his job.

Political Bio/Statement:
OH-05 is located in the heartland of America. A district made up of farmers, labor workers, teachers, and nurses. Our current representative is a bureaucratic millionaire, bought by the very companies he is tasked to control. He does not speak for the people of our district, nor does he listen to them. Nick believes that we deserve better. In OH-05, we work hard, and we need to know we have someone working hard for us. Someone who understands what it is like to struggle to find affordable healthcare, to battle back against student debt. An individual who knows how to punch a time clock, and who will advocate for everyday working people. Nick knows that this fight will not be easy. We are up against a gerrymandered district, an entrenched incumbent, and dark money forces that are ready to spend endless amounts of dollars to ensure that corporate America stays in charge. This might seem daunting, but Nick has been there before. He has organized, he has lead, he has overcome. We are building a grassroots movement powered by generational change. We know the people of OH-05 desperately want to be heard, and that is why Nick is ready to listen. He will go to every county, every city, and every town. Our campaign will be powered by people, not corporations. Nick believes in OH-05, and the future belongs to those who believe.
How to help:

Justice begins with each of us. When we seek justice, we must first examine our minds and our hearts.  Justice involves lifting up our shared hopes, history and heritage, respecting one another amidst our great diversity–and tolerance rooted in love. The result always will be greater than the sum of its parts. One of the greatest joys of public service is when this magic happens.
How to help:
Jennifer writes: “People can sign up to volunteer for our campaign at jenniferbrunner.com — there is a a volunteer signup button.  And also, if they have any questions, they can use the contact form, and it will send an email to my campaign manager, Andrew, and me.  Every other week we do a Facebook live session called “Friday Lunch Facebook Live” (FLFL) on our Justice for the People page and people can tune in.  Our next one is Friday, May 15 at noon.  Also, volunteers can sign up for our email list as we notify people by email as well as by Facebook about FLFL.”

Political Bio/Statement:
We’ve got to rebuild the backbone of the country: The Middle Class. The middle class isn’t a number — it’s a set of values. Owning your home. Sending your kids to college. Being able to save and get ahead. Across the country, too many families are being left behind. The next president needs to understand what the current one doesn’t: In America, no matter where you start in life, there should be no limit to what you can achieve. We need to rebuild the middle class, and this time make sure everybody comes along — regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or disability. We’ve got to demonstrate respected leadership on the world stage. The world is facing inescapable challenges: a rapidly changing climate, the risk of nuclear conflict, trade wars, a rising China and an aggressive Russia, millions of refugees seeking shelter and security, and attacks on universal human rights and fundamental freedoms. The next president must repair our relationships with our allies and stand up to strongmen and thugs on the global stage to rally the world to meet these challenges. We can reclaim our longstanding position as the moral and economic leader of the world. We’ve got to make sure our democracy includes everyone. Our politics is broken and excludes too many Americans. Until we fix campaign finance, voting rights, and gerrymandering, it will continue to get more polarized, more ugly, and more mean. — from joebiden.com
